Introducing TMK 300 Next Gen
It’s been over 15 years since Tenho made the first edition of the TMK 300. Now in 2025, TMK is rolling out with the newest & best edition of the most sold Tree Shear.
So, what is it?
TMK 300 Next Gen is an all-upgraded version of the original Tree Shear. The aim with this edition was to combine all the best ideas and improvements we’ve made to other products over the years - and boy did we succeed. Major improvements have been made overall to the manufacturing process, materials used, frame geometry and ease-of-use. This is the best Tree Shear yet.
What has changed?
Well, everything. Or maybe a little less.
Frame: The most drastic changes were made to the overall frame of the product. By adding cross supports, thickening the base plate and removing extra reinforcements from the bottom, the overall durability & strength of the frame has been greatly improved. The TMK 300 Next Gen will now handle all kinds of torsion forces and wear & tear even better than before, carrying on our professional approach mentality.
Blade: We made 3 different improvements to the blade design.
Thicker base plate
New sharpening pattern
Removed the now unnecessary reinforcements
Thanks to these 3 changes, the blade is now more durable, stronger, cuts better and is easier to change.
Cylinder: The cylinder support has been improved with a strengthened back pin to battle against possible problems with harsher conditions.
Weight & Size: The outer dimensions of the base model have remained the same, with the weight having increased by 30kg.
Quality of life: As the last - and for some the best - change, we’ve made the trash removal opening on the side of the product larger and more “efficient” with some geometry changes. With this, the TMK 300 Next Gen handles snow, dirt and sticks even better without getting them stuck in the mouth of the shear.
Why the change, and should I upgrade my old TMK 300?
Over the years we’ve made a lot of small changes (over 50 revisions to the base TMK 300 model and a lot more to the other models and product lineups!), slowly improving the design and removing problems. Thanks to these continual revisions as well as designing the new products such as the TMK GrappleSaw, we now know how to make our product even better and wanted to start with the original, TMK 300.
