Strong frame
The frame is designed to withstand the vast forces that excavators create. The back of the Grapple Saw has a sturdy heel that can be used to take support with the excavator.
The frame is made from Hardox® 400 and 500 steels, which are known for their wear resistance and durability.
Saw unit
The TMK Grapple Saw uses a quality Swedish JPS saw unit, which features a 800mm saw bar with a .404” chain, with the ¾” option also available. The saw bar has an automatic lubrication system.
The unit features a electronically controlled chain tightening system. This system makes sure that the chain doesn't get pulled out of the bar if the saw bar gets pinched while it retreats to the saw box after the cut.

Grapple arms
The dual grapple arms open to a maximum width of 1190mm for easy material handling. They also close in tight, for grabbing smaller trees.
The arms can also be electronically locked in place for trickier sawing motions, for example to keep the grapples from closing too tight when cutting a bundle of trees.
Very sturdy saw box
The saw unit is very well protected inside a sturdy saw box. We have also made cut outs to the saw box so you can see exactly where the bar is when cutting, and it also has a bolt attached cover for easier maintenance access.

Lubrication oil tank
The lubrication oil tank is built right on top of the saw unit and it is pressurized to help keep it going in different situations. We have also protected the pressurized cap with an easily removable cover.
Hydraulically controlled tree shear blade
TMK Grapple Saw also features a Hydraulic moving cutting blade designed for cutting smaller branches and bushes.
Cutting capacity: 150 mm

Splitting blade
The third cutting blade is the familiar splitting blade already known from our Tree Shear attachments. Normally safely stored away at the side of the saw unit, the splitting blade is easily put to work in splitting logs and even firewood if needed.
LED to indicate tightening mode
The Grapple Saw has a red LED-light that is clearly visible to the cockpit to indicate when the saw chain is activated to the tightening mode. When the LED is off, the Grapple Saw is on the cutting mode and the chain is tightly locked in place.
It's on swivel so you can tuck it away when not needed.

Easy maintenance
Even though it might not look like it, the Grapple Saw itself is very simple & care-free to use. You don’t need to be a hydraulics expert, as we’ve designed it to be very simple.
The Grapple Saw features only one adjustment valve. This is for adjusting the guide bar speed.
Bolt on adapter plates
Thanks to our bolt-on plates, the TMK Grapple Saw is easy to swap from one machine to another.

TMK Wireless unit
The Grapple Saw has altogether 5 different electric valve motions that can all be controlled with the TMK wireless unit.
Alternatively the Rotator can be controlled from its own external DA-line.
The Wireless unit is powered by off the shelf 18V drill batteries. You can use either Makita, Milwaukee or DeWalt batteries.
